I crossed the Continental Divide at least 4 times. Two of those crossings were marked and at a high elevation so I took a few pictures to remember the moment.

The picture to the left is in the Canadian Rockies and is the border of Alberta and British Colombia. On the Alberta side is Banff National Park and on the British Colombia side is Kootnay National Park. The feeling of crossing the continental divide for the first time was most satisfying, especially when you see the divide marked like in these 2 pictures. The one below was also accompanied with the elevation marking as well. Fabulous!
Across the Continental Divide in Two Countries Canada and the U.S.A.
The picture to the right is the Continental Divide at the southern stateline of Idaho and Montana just north of Idaho Falls, where the elevation is 6870 feet and morning temperature was a only 60 degrees. I was on my way to Athol, Idaho from Salt Lake City, Utah. These are the high plains where the main colors are yellow and green. The near flat land allowed for exceptional visibility. You could truely see for miles and miles.
