The following is property of Guinness World Records and is only here to make those aware what is expected by Guinness in order to break a world record!

Record Guidelines

ROLLER COASTER, MOST RIDDEN IN 24 HOURS

Rules

1. This category is for the greatest number of roller coasters ridden by an individual in 24        hours.
2. No ride may be duplicated.
3. Where there is more than one roller coaster in a theme park both, or all, may be ridden.
4. The challenge is continuous over a 24 hour period - the 24 hours may not be 'built up'          over several days.
5. The form of transport used between each roller coaster is up to the competitor but any        traffic, road or parking infringement negates the attempt.
6. A detailed log book is to be kept.

The current record is: 40 roller coasters.

Authentication

The following should be provided:

1. Signed statements of authentication by two independent persons of some standing in the community, including contact addresses and telephone numbers, confirming that all of the rules have been adhered to.

2. A log book containing details of each roller coaster (including photos of each and at least one clear photo of the competitor riding the roller coaster), the time of arrival at and departure from each site, the ticket entitling the competitor to ride each roller coaster, details of the route taken between sites, etc.

3. Independent corroboration in the form of local or national newspaper cuttings.

4. A clearly-marked audio videotape.  Photographs or transparencies of the event, if possible of reproducible quality and preferably in colour.

WE MUST STRESS THAT WE CANNOT PROVIDE PERSONNEL TO INVIGILATE RECORD ATTEMPTS; THERE ARE FAR TOO MANY. YOU ARE ADVISED TO CHECK WITH US AGAIN JUST BEFORE YOUR ATTEMPT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE RECORD HAS NOT BEEN BEATEN. PLEASE NOTE THAT GUINNESS CANNOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ACCIDENTS OR ILLNESSES THAT MAY COME ABOUT DURING OR AS A RESULT OF RECORD ATTEMPTS. WE DO ADVISE THAT MEDICAL ATTENTION SHOULD BE AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES.

Publication

The Guinness Book of Records is likely only to publish records which represent improvements on existing records.  We may very occasionally publish an inaugural best performance if we consider it to be of a kind which is likely to become the subject of widespread and preferably, international, competition.  However in no circumstances will we undertake to publish any record and reserve the right to determine in our sole discretion the records to be published.
Even if you do beat the existing record and we accept your claim, it does not necessarily mean that details will be included in the book, as your record may subsequently be beaten-we can only include the record which stands when we go to press.
Please send all documentation clearly marked as to which record has been attempted and please indicate if you require any material returned to you after verification.

Good luck in your attempt.!
